The access of Russia to the global agricultural products and fertilizers market will be facilitated by the United States. This information was shared in a statement from the White House, following discussions held on March 24 between U.S. and Russian representatives in Saudi Arabia.

According to the White House, “The United States will assist in restoring Russia’s entry to the global market for agricultural and fertilizer exports, lower marine insurance expenses, and enhance access to ports and payment systems for these transactions.”

The remainder of the statement closely mirrors the outcomes of the discussions between the American and Ukrainian delegations on March 25, which addressed navigation safety in the Black Sea, a prohibition on strikes targeting energy infrastructure in both Russia and Ukraine, and President Donald Trump’s appeal for “an end to the killings on both sides of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.”

Additionally, it is important to note that arrangements were made between the United States and Ukraine concerning safe navigation, a commitment against the use of force, and measures to prevent commercial vessels from being utilized for military operations in the Black Sea.
