Last week, export demand prices for Russian wheat (12.5% protein) fell by USD 5 to USD 227 per tonne, while supply prices settled at a higher level of USD 230-235, reports Interfax, citing the Rusagrotrans analysis center.
Prices for French wheat fell to 242 US dollars (-1 US dollar), for German wheat to 249 US dollars (- 4 US dollars) and for US wheat to 257 US dollars (- 4 US dollars) per ton.
Wheat prices (4th class, 12.5% protein) in the Russian deep-water ports rose by 250 roubles to 17,400 – 17,500 roubles per tonne (excluding VAT) over the course of the week. Prices in the low-water ports fell by 1,300 roubles to 15,700 roubles per tonne due to lower buying activity. Last year, prices were 14,400 and 12,100 rubles per ton, respectively.
The domestic wheat market continued to grow in the center, increased slightly in the south and remained stable in the Volga region. Wheat prices (4th class, 12.5% protein, EXW Elevator) rose to 14,800-15,000 roubles per tonne (+600 roubles) in central Russia, to 15,100-15,600 roubles (+50 roubles) in the south and remained unchanged at 14,100-14,500 roubles per tonne in the Volga region. In Siberia, purchase prices for 3rd class wheat were 13,000-15,000 roubles per tonne. All prices are exclusive of VAT.
According to the center, Egypt bought 290,000 tons of Ukrainian, Romanian and Bulgarian wheat in another tender at $273-275.3 per ton (C&F) or $252.5-261 (FOB), with delivery in different periods from November 25 to mid-December. “FOB Novorossiysk, excluding additional costs, the purchase price was about US$232 per tonne, which is in line with demand prices for December,” the center said.
