Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev has confirmed the earlier forecast of a grain harvest of 130 million tons in Russia this year.
“This year’s harvest is extremely difficult. But taking into account the development of the industry, we will harvest our 130 million tons of grain despite force majeure, which will guarantee food security and allow us to meet export targets,” Interfax reported Patrushev’s words.
The Deputy Prime Minister also confirmed the previously announced target for increasing exports of agricultural products to 55 billion US dollars by 2030. He recalled that the President of the Russian Federation has set the industry the task of increasing deliveries abroad by one and a half times by 2030 compared to 2021.
The official forecast for this year’s grain harvest was lowered from 132 million tons at the beginning of October, while the estimate for the wheat harvest was reduced from 84 million to 83 million tons.
