Russia Barley Exports to Tunisia: Trade Resumes in Early 2026

Russia barley exports to Tunisia have officially resumed, according to preliminary estimates from the federal center Agroexport. Specifically, shipments restarted in January-February 2026, TASS reports. Furthermore, this marks a significant return to this North African market.

Russia Barley Exports to Tunisia: Current Volume and Value

The volume of grain shipments during this period is estimated at approximately 55,000 tons. Additionally, these exports are worth almost $13 million. Consequently, traders see strong renewed demand in this destination.

Historical Comparison and Previous Trade Data

The previous shipment of Russian barley to Tunisia took place in 2024. Moreover, exports for the entire calendar year reached 365,000 tons. Furthermore, the total value exceeded $64 million. Therefore, the 2024 performance sets a benchmark for future trade expectations.

Russia’s Overall Barley Export Performance

Overall, Russia exported over 470,000 tons of barley in January-February of this year. However, this figure excludes data from the EAEU. Nevertheless, this total demonstrates robust global demand for Russian grain.
