At the end of last week, the Iranian state agency GTC is believed to have acquired approximately 500,000 tons of wheat, with the majority being sourced from Russia, as reported by Reuters.

This announcement marks the second adjustment of the agency’s purchase volume estimate, which is based on information from European traders. Additionally, there are unverified reports suggesting purchases could reach up to 1 million tons.

Initially, the estimation was set at 120,000 tons, which was later adjusted to around 250,000 tons.

Scheduled deliveries are set for April, and in some agreements, the price may reach 310 euros per ton, including cost and freight.
