Ukraine has harvested 42.8 million tons of grain

Ukraine has already threshed 67.3 million tons of the new crop, which was harvested on an area of 17.7 million hectares, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.

A total of 42.8 million tons of grain, 18 million tons of oilseeds and almost 6.5 million tons of sugar beet were harvested.

In detail:

  • Wheat – 4.9 million hectares (or 100%) have been threshed, 22.3 million tons have been harvested;
  • Barley – 1.4 million hectares (or 100%) have been threshed, 5.5 million tons have been harvested;
  • Peas – 212.2 thousand hectares (or 100%) threshed, 465.3 thousand tons threshed;
  • Maize – 2.4 million hectares (or 59%) threshed, 13.2 million tons threshed;
  • Millet – 84.4 thousand hectares (or 91%) threshed, 158.9 thousand tons threshed;
  • Buckwheat – 86.3 thousand hectares (or 97%) threshed, 124.8 thousand tons threshed;
  • Sunflowers – 4.5 million hectares (or 91%) were threshed, 9.3 million tons of seed were harvested;
  • Soya – 2.3 million hectares (or 88%) were threshed, 5.2 million tons of seed were harvested;
  • Rapeseed – 1.3 million hectares (or 100%) were threshed, 3.5 million tons of seed were harvested.

The leaders in terms of gross grain harvest are agricultural producers in the Odessa region with 4.3 million tons, the Poltava region with 3.8 million tons and the Vinnitsa region with 3 million tons.

In terms of grain yields, farmers in the Khmelnytskyi region are ahead with 67.7 centners/hectare, in the Bukovyna region with 64.5 centners/hectare, in the Cherkasy region with 61.0 centners/hectare, in the Ivano-Frankivsk region with 60.3 centners/hectare and in the Chernihiv region with 60.0 centners/hectare.
