Kazakhstan Food Corporation is talking about cooperation with the world’s largest buyer of grain from Egypt – GASC. According to Asilkhan Dzhuvashev, Chairman of the Board of Kazakhstan Food Corporation, Kazakhstan is currently being accredited to participate in tenders.
According to Dzhuvashev, Prodkorporatsiya has already signed a framework agreement with a Chinese company for the supply of flax from Kazakh farmers worth USD 3 million. The suppliers for the contract have been found, but the final figures for the volume of supplies are not disclosed.
The area under flax cultivation in Kazakhstan is about 1 million hectares. According to the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan, seed exports in the first six months of 2024 fell by 42% from USD 144.1 million to USD 83.3 million compared to the same period last year.
