Tariff increase of 5.6 percent on Russian wheat exports from September 18

The duty on wheat exports from Russia will be 956.9 rubles per ton from September 18-24, up 5.6% from the current rate of 906.4 rubles, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture reports. After reaching a historic low of 257.3 roubles in mid-August, the duty is now being raised for the fourth time.

The duty on maize exports will be reduced to 446.3 roubles compared to the current duty of 502.7 roubles per ton. The zero duty on barley exports will be retained,

The benchmark prices for wheat and meslin were 214.1 US dollars per ton, barley – 181.5 US dollars per ton, corn – 193.6 US dollars per ton.

In June, the base export prices for wheat and meslin were increased from 17 thousand rubles to 18 thousand rubles, for barley and corn from 15,875 rubles to 16,875 rubles.

The calculated export duty rates are applied from the 3rd working day after the day of their determination and are valid until they are applied.
