Prices for Ukrainian sunflower oil continue to rise due to high demand from processors and low supply from producers, analysis agencies reported, citing traders. Prices for sunflower oil at Odessa ports rose by around 40 US dollars per ton over the course of the week compared to last week’s prices.
“Processors are already willing to pay 520-525 US dollars per tonne excluding VAT with delivery for sunflower with a base vegetable oil content of 46%, depending on tonnage. This is at least 10 US dollars per tonne more than last week’s price,” report local buyers.
Current information from the buyers:
- DAP Ukraine (mill) ~ 500-530 US dollars per ton,
- DAP Bulgaria (center) ~ 550-560 US dollars per tonne,
- CIF Bulgaria (port) ~ 540-550 US dollars per ton.
Prices for sunflower meal in Ukrainian ports have also risen since the beginning of the season and stood at 30US dollars .
