Russia Suspends Ammonium Nitrate Exports: Restriction Period

The restrictions will be in effect from March 21 to April 21. However, there is one exception. Deliveries made under intergovernmental agreements are exempt.

Ministry Rationale for Export Suspension

The ministry notes that export demand for nitrogen fertilizers is growing. Consequently, suspending their exports will allow prioritizing domestic market needs. Moreover, this ensures uninterrupted implementation during spring fieldwork.

The Russian Ministry of Agriculture’s task force made this decision. Specifically, they monitor nitrogen fertilizer deliveries to agricultural producers. Furthermore, they oversee fulfillment procedures.
