This season, Kazakhstan is increasing not only its production of oilseeds, but also its exports of oilseeds to foreign markets. In 11 months, the Republic shipped about 40,000 tons of rapeseed to Latvia in the 2024/25 marketing year. Russia rapeseed imports Kazakhstan ranked second in terms of purchases of Kazakh rapeseed: over the 11 months of the current season, 32,400 tons of oilseed were shipped to our country, which is 10 times more than a year earlier. During the same period last season, shipments did not exceed 3,200 tons.
Poland secured third place importing 21,400 tons of Kazakh rapeseed in the 2024/25 marketing year’s first 11 months.
Earlier, it was reported that Kazakhstan is increasing shipments of oilseed flax to China. Over 10 months, seed imports to China amounted to 185 thousand tons, exceeding last year’s figure of 123 thousand tons.
