Tariffs on Russian wheat exports to be reduced by 70 percent from July 31

The duty on wheat exports from Russia will be 906.4 rubles per ton from July 31 to August 6, which is 70% less than the previously set rate of 1540.4 rubles. According to the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, exports of barley and maize will continue to be subject to zero duty.

Duties on Russian grain will apply from June 2, 2021 and will amount to 70% of the difference between the base and target prices.

The basic export prices for wheat and meslin will be raised from 17 thousand rubles to 18 thousand rubles, for barley and corn from 15.875 rubles to 16.875 rubles. The target prices are as follows: Wheat – 220.5 US dollars per ton, barley – 177.9 US dollars per ton, corn – 187.4 US dollars per ton.

The calculated export duty rates are applied from the 3rd working day after the day of their establishment and are valid until the beginning of the next export duty rates.
