2024 Ukraine corn supply has run out a month earlier than last year, according to analysts at Spike Brokers.
“Most market participants did not expect this, and internal balances need to be revised, given the growth in domestic consumption, which reduced grain supply at the end of the 24/25 season,” the brokers said.
They specified that the price difference between the old and new crops peaked at $50, but this does not encourage producers to sell the new crop.
Prices for the 2024 Ukraine corn supply remained at $250+/t DAP ports.
The latest indications from buyers for the 2025 corn crop:
- DAP Ukraine (Odessa) — $204-206/t;
- FCA Ukraine (border) — €178-180/t;
- DAP Italy (north) — €213-215/t;
- DAP Germany (northeast) — €197-200/t;
- DAP Netherlands (south) — €197-200/t.
As of August 21, Ukrainian farmers had already harvested 6.7 million hectares of early grains and legumes and produced 27.2 million tons of grain.
