On the Ukrainian market corn prices stopped growing, staying at the levels of 214-215 dollars per metric ton (delivered to the port). This is reported by Spike Brokers.
As brokers noted, accumulated balances in ports have led to oversaturation of the external market with offers from Ukrainian exporters for the delivery period of February-March. At the same time, the external market is clearly signaling the presence of demand, encouraging sellers to contract later delivery periods.
New crop corn is trading at $200 (delivered to port) for October-November for the first time in recent years. And on the western border, European buyers are voicing demand at 195€ (loaded on a Euro train) for October-December. High prices for the new crop are favoring forward contracts now,” the report said.
