During the current season from September to April, rail shipments of mixed fodder from Kazakhstan to China reached 1.2 million tons, marking a fivefold increase compared to the corresponding period of the previous marketing year.
Specifically, mixed fodder transported via Dostyk station surged sixfold to 353 thousand tons, while shipments through Altynkol grew five times, surpassing 900 thousand tons.
Between January and April 2025, Kazakhstan’s mixed fodder shipments totaled 785 thousand tons, again representing a fivefold rise over the same timeframe in 2024. Within this period, deliveries through Dostyk station increased seven times to 216 thousand tons, and through Altynkol rose 4.5 times, reaching 567 thousand tons.
It was also highlighted that transport in boxcars doubled, and container shipments increased five times, contributing to this overall growth.
