Kazakhstan is continuing the harvest campaign and has harvested 2.4 million hectares of oilseeds, which is 83.1% of the harvested area. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the gross harvest of oilseeds amounts to 2.7 million tons with an average yield of 11 quintals per hectare.
The harvest of cereals and pulses is 99.8% complete in the country. The average yield is 16 quintals per hectare and 26.6 million tons of grain have been threshed.
According to the data, 2.2 million tons of grain from the new harvest were transported by rail in September and October of this year, which is 42% more than in the same period last year.
1.8 million tons were shipped for export, 48% more than in the 2023/24 season. The Ministry of Agriculture stated that shipping through Russia is not restricted. In two months, Kazakhstan’s grain exports to Russia totaled 43,000 tons and 104,000 tons in transit through Russia. In addition, grain shipments via the Kazakh port of Aktau to Iran are actively continuing, where 249,000 tons were shipped in September and October.
Shipments of grain from the new harvest to the Central Asian markets have increased by 36% compared to the previous year and have already reached 1.036 million tons.
