During the current season, Kazakhstan initiated wheat exports to Morocco, a destination previously not reached by its shipments, according to official data cited by APK-Inform.

Between January and March of this year, Kazakhstan delivered 83.5 thousand tons of wheat to Morocco, with March accounting for the highest monthly shipment of 37.2 thousand tons.

Consequently, by the conclusion of the first seven months of the 2024/25 marketing year, Morocco ranked among the top eight importers of Kazakh grain.

It is worth noting that in April, Prodkorporatsiya Kazakhstan announced preliminary arrangements to supply grain to Morocco and other North African nations. Shipments to this region could surpass 300 thousand tons of food-grade wheat by the end of the current season.

In addition, APK-Inform highlighted that Morocco has more than halved its subsidy rate on wheat imports.
