According to market operators, following the results of the international tender for the purchase of 120 thousand tons of feed barley held on January 22, the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Jordan purchased 60 thousand tons of grain of random origin.
As specified, the barley was contracted at a price of $249.25 per ton C&F from the operator Ameropa with delivery to the port of Aqaba from May 15 to 31 this year.
The ministry also announced plans to hold next week’s regular tenders for the purchase of grain crops. Thus, a tender for the purchase of 120 thousand tons of milling wheat of random origin with delivery in April-June is scheduled for January 28. A day later, a tender for the purchase of the same volume of feed barley (also of random origin) with shipment to the buyer in April-May should be held.
