From the beginning of the current season (1 July 2024) to 22 October, EU countries exported 210.5 thousand tons of sunflower oil, which is 16% less than in the same period last season. This was reported by the Grain On-Line agency, citing the European Commission.
The largest buyers of sunflower oil from the EU in the current season were India (52.8 thousand tons), the UK (42.3 thousand tons), the USA (14.9 thousand tons) and South Africa (12.6 thousand tons).
Imports of sunflower oil into the EU fell to 588.8 thousand tons in the reporting period, 18% less than in the previous season.
