Exports of Russian grain and processed products increase at 3.3 percent in 2024

Exports of Russian grain and its processed products in 2024 exceeded 86.7 million tons, which is 2.8 million tons or 3.3% more than the result of 2023, Rosselkhoznadzor reports.

Grain crops account for a significant part of exports – 73.1 million tons (+4 million tons to 2023). Wheat was exported 57.5 million tons, barley – 8.2 million tons, corn – 6.7 million tons.

Wheat and wheat-rye flour was exported for almost $300 million, also 3% more than in 2023. In physical terms, supplies grew by 7%.

The largest buyer of Russian flour, according to Agroexport, was Afghanistan. Its market received $80 million more, which is twice as much as a year earlier. China and Turkmenistan were also among the top 3 buyers. In addition, flour exports to Iran increased 18 times, 6 times – to Mongolia, 1.9 times – to Thailand, 1.6 times – to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
