Duty on wheat exports from Russia will be reduced by 5.7 percent from January 29

The Ministry of Agriculture has presented new export duty rates for grain exports from Russia for the period from January 29 to February 4, 2025 inclusive.

The duty on wheat and meslin (a mixture of wheat and rye) exports has been reduced by 5.7% from 4,699.6 to 4,430.1 rubles per ton. The duty on barley will increase – from Br3,101.9 to Br3,407.8 per ton. Export duty on corn is also reduced from 5,041.7 rubles to 4,659.1 rubles per ton.

The changes in duties are due to the adjustment of calculations based on indicative prices, which, in turn, depend on world market conditions. Indicative prices, based on which the duties are calculated, amounted to $240.9 per ton of wheat, $215.3 per ton of barley and $233 per ton of corn.

Earlier, the agency announced new rates on sunflower oil and sunflower meal exports for February. Duty on sunflower oil exports increased by RUB1.719 – from RUB16.067 to RUB17.786.4 per ton. The indicative price amounted to $1,068.5 against $1,027.5 a month earlier. The duty rate on export of meal decreased from RUB 4,771.6 to RUB 3,888.7 per ton.
