Brazil biodiesel exports EU are growing rapidly. Consequently, this trend affects global biofuel markets significantly. Biodiesel production in Brazil increased by 11% year-on-year. Furthermore, production rose by 10% in January-February. The main factor was the increase in the mandatory biodiesel additive rate. Moreover, this rate reached 15% (B15) in diesel fuel. The German consulting agency Oil World reported these findings.

Brazil Biodiesel Exports EU Reach Record Levels

Brazil’s biodiesel exports also increased significantly. Additionally, they reached 28,000 tons in January-February 2026. The entire volume was shipped to EU countries. Therefore, European markets are absorbing all Brazilian biodiesel exports.

Brazilian soybean oil exports increased as well. Furthermore, they rose by 0.37 million tons in January-February 2026.

USDA Forecasts and Future Growth

According to the latest USDA report, Brazil expects new records. Moreover, these records cover soybean production, exports, and processing. This marks a new high for the third consecutive year. Biofuel production is expected to increase by a third. Specifically, it will reach 6.9 million tons. Previously, production stood at 4.3 million tons in 2022/23.

The country plans to gradually increase its blending mandate. Furthermore, this mandate will reach B20 by 2030. Each additional percentage point of mandate requires approximately 400,000 tons of oil. Therefore, future demand for feedstock will grow substantially.
