Russia Wheat Exports Iran: Large-Scale Supply Negotiations Underway

Russia wheat exports Iran are currently under discussion as both nations negotiate large volumes of wheat supplies. Moreover, these talks form part of a jointly prepared food security program for the country. According to TASS, Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev told reporters about this on the sidelines of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Iran.

Russia Wheat Exports Iran: Working Groups and Cooperation Framework

According to Tsivilev, a joint working group has already been set up. Furthermore, this group will prepare the details of the program within the framework of agricultural trade and in the space sector. “Iran has embarked on the path of space development and has great potential. I think Iran will soon become a serious space power,” he added.

Transport Corridor and Delivery Logistics

Deliveries are planned to be carried out via the North-South International Transport Corridor. Additionally, the EAEU and Iran expect to complete this corridor by 2030.

Russian Wheat Export Prices and Season Estimates

Earlier, it was reported that export prices for Russian wheat are rising. Consequently, weather conditions continue to seriously hamper deliveries from the country’s southern ports. Wheat exports this season (July 2025 – June 2026) are estimated at 56.2 million tons, compared to 50 million tons the previous season.
