Turkey purchased 18 thousand tons of sunflower oil at tender

Market operators have reported that after a hiatus of two years, the Turkish State Agency (TMO) has acquired 18,000 tons of crude sunflower oil through a recent tender.

It has been noted that the agency procured 6,000 tons from the operator Yayla at a cost of $1,208.9 per ton on a C&F basis, while similar quantities were sourced from the company Aves at prices of $1,209 and $1,195 per ton.

As stipulated in the tender agreement, the delivery of the oil to the importer is scheduled to occur between April 2 and April 21 at the ports of Iskenderun/Mersin and Tekirdag.

Data from OleoScope indicates that on March 20, 2025, the price of sunflower oil (FOB) for March delivery stood at $1,115 per ton, while the price for sunflower oil (CIF Mumbai) for the same delivery period was $1,218.88 per ton.
