The feed barley sector in Ukraine last week remained characterized by further price growth. This situation was still conditioned by seasonal reduction of grain supply, active demand of domestic and export-oriented companies and further price increase on the export market.
Agrarians, in their turn, were not in a hurry to sell grain, intending to realize it not earlier than in spring. The increase in prices on related markets also influenced their further growth.
Thus, the demand prices for feed barley were most often fixed within the range of 9000-10100 UAH/metric ton of CPT. It should be noted that the minimum prices were mainly declarative and it was almost impossible to buy grain at them.
