Kazakhstan is ready to export 1 million tons of grain to Egypt and if necessary to increase the volume. This was stated by the Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Aidarbek Saparov said during a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Egypt to Kazakhstan Hassan Ibtissam Rakha Ahmed.

“The share of agricultural products in the total trade turnover with Egypt is not high, the potential to increase the volume of mutually beneficial supplies of agricultural products is not fully utilized. We need to strengthen our work. In 2024, thanks to the measures taken and compliance with agricultural technologies, a record harvest of grain crops was collected. We are ready to export up to 1 million tons of grain to Egypt, and increase the volume of supplies if necessary,” the minister said.

Hassan Ibtissam Rakha Ahmed said that for a detailed study of this issue in Kazakhstan in the near future will arrive representatives of the agency Mostakbal Misr.

Also at the meeting talked about the possibility of joint construction of warehouses for the storage of wheat and grain crops.
