Russia’s exports of cereals and legumes increased by 5 percent in 2024

Exports of grain and grain legumes from Russia have increased by 5% in 2024, said Olga Zakharova, head of the Department of Internal Phytosanitary and Land Supervision, Quality Control and Grain Safety of Rosselkhoznadzor.

Exports of grains and legumes from Russia increased by 3 million tons in 2024, to 75.8 million tons, follows from the data she presented. However, the production of these crops in Russia decreased to 144.9 million tons in 2024.

The number of countries importing grain products from Russia increased from 101 in 2023 to 117 in 2024.

Exports of bran from the Russian Federation at the end of 2024 reached 1.97 million tons, flour – 1.19 million tons, cereals – 303 thousand tons.

“On bran we have plus 300 thousand tons only for the year, on flour – almost 200 thousand tons we have increased. So far, these countries are the nearest neighbors. First of all – Kazakhstan”, – said Olga Zakharova.

Export of plant products from Russia to China for 8 years has grown 11 times to 4.7 million tons in 2024. Now 19.7 thousand Russian enterprises are certified to supply grain to this country, vegetable oils, flour and cereals – 331 companies.
