The volume of major agricultural crops imported by China in 2024 amounted to 157.52 million tons in 2024, decreasing by 2.3% compared to 2023, Feedlot reports citing data from the General Administration of Customs (GAC) of the People’s Republic of China.
At the same time, it is specified that, according to the published data of the department, the volume of agricultural products that China purchased from other countries in the 12 months of last year in value terms decreased even more significantly – by 15.6%, to $69.02 billion.
“However, purchases increased 8.1% year-on-year in December 2024 to 10.24 million tons compared with November. In terms of value, their volume increased by 6.5% month-on-month to $4.56 billion,” the report elaborated.
