Last week, Ukrainian sunflower and rapeseed prices continued to rise due to sustained demand from some export-oriented companies and higher prices on the external market. As Ukrainian agricultural analysts note, trade within the country is gradually slowing down as stocks of raw materials for processing are decreasing.
The cost of rapeseed in the export direction increased to 24000-24600 UAH/ton CPT port and continued to rise against the background of the increase in quotations in Europe.
Prices for sunflower under SRT port conditions approached the historical peak of 25000-27000 UAH/ton.
In Odessa ports, the price of sunflower oil increased by 15-20 US dollars on average last week.
According to industry agencies, some small companies are turning to alternative crops due to high prices and negative profit margins as a result of long-term speculation on the market.
