According to monitoring data from the APK-Inform news agency, demand prices for sunflower meal in Ukrainian ports have risen for the seventh week in a row, against the backdrop of similar price trends on the global oilseed market. Prices are also supported by brisk demand from exporters for this commodity.
On October 21, 2024, demand prices for sunflower meal reached 225 USD/tonne at CPT-port terms, which is 30 USD/tonne higher than similar prices announced at the end of the 2023/24 season. It is noted that almost 432 thousand tons of sunflower meal and cake have been exported from Ukraine since the beginning of the season.
Oil prices in Ukrainian ports also continue to rise due to high demand from processing plants and low supply from producers. Previously, analysts at OilWorld (Germany) had predicted that oil prices would rise to three-year highs this marketing year.
