Sunflower prices continue to rise due to high demand from processing companies and low supply from producers. Farmers are not in a hurry to sell large quantities of oilseeds as they expect prices to rise even higher. This is according to analysts at Spike Brokers.

Processors are prepared to pay USD 520-525 excluding VAT with delivery for sunflowers with a base oil content of 46%, depending on tonnage. This is at least 10 US dollars more than last week’s price.

Prices for sunflower oil at Odessa ports increased by about 40 US dollars during the week compared to last week’s prices.
