The ban on rapeseed exports from Russia is replaced by an export duty

The Subcommittee on tariff and non-tariff regulation and protective measures in foreign trade of the Government Commission for Economic Development and Integration of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation has decided to impose export duties on rapeseed in the amount of 30%, but not less than 165 euros per ton, for the period from September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2026, Interfax reports.

This decision was taken to replace the current ban on the export of rapeseed from the country.

In addition, the subcommittee supported the decision to set the period from September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2026 for the period from September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2026 the rates of export duties on sunflower seeds in the amount of 50%, but not less than 32 thousand Br per ton; on soybeans – in the amount of 20%, but not less than 100 dollars per ton.

It is planned to extend the “pending” export duties on sunflower oil and sunflower meal for the same period.
