The rise in prices for flax, rapeseed and sunflowers in Kazakhstan is continuing. Experts assume that the upward trend will continue.
“In the oilseed group, prices continue to rise, but we are only talking about residues and conditioned material, without acidity and other laboratory defects,” according to the research office ”Grains and Oilseeds. Kazakhstan”.
The current price of flax is 220 thousand tenge per ton including VAT. The price increase for this week amounted to 16%. The cost of rapeseed increased by 20% to 220 thousand tenge per ton.
The price of sunflower rose by 38% to 175 thousand tenge per ton. The authorities recommend selling sunflowers as needed, as the price increase is not or will not cover costs.
Kazakhstan has expanded the area under oilseed cultivation to 2.93 million hectares this year, compared to 2.79 million hectares last year.
