Chinese Foreign Minister Wang said at a meeting with Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in Guangzhou that China intends to increase grain imports from Ukraine and jointly ensure international food security, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
“In recent years, China has been Ukraine’s largest trading partner and the largest importer of Ukrainian agricultural products,” Wang said.
He said the trade volume between China and Ukraine grew rapidly in the first half of this year. He added that the two countries should make full use of mechanisms to strengthen practical cooperation in various fields.
“China will further increase grain imports from Ukraine and jointly ensure uninterrupted logistics channels and international food safety,” the top Chinese diplomat said.
It should be noted that Kuleba and Wang held a three-hour conversation in China. The main topic was the search for ways to end the war.
