MARS (Monitoring Agricultural Resources) is a unit of the European Commission’s Joint Research Center (JRC) that regularly produces forecasts and assessments of agricultural production and crop yields in Europe and other parts of the world. These forecasts and trends are based on MARS’ analysis of historical data, climate models and expert opinions. They are intended to inform policy decisions and support the development of more sustainable and resilient agricultural systems.
