The rouble is the official currency of the Russian Federation. It is divided into 100 kopecks (kopecks). The rouble has been the currency of Russia since 1992, replacing the Soviet rouble. It is issued by the Central Bank of Russia, also known as the Bank of Russia. The ruble is identified by the symbol “₽” (a Cyrillic letter “Р” with a horizontal bar) and has the ISO code “RUB”. It is available in both cash and non-cash forms, including coins and banknotes. (Current exchange rate can be found here.)
